Other things to do on your day at Wisemans Ferry...
  • A leisurely stroll up the convict-built Great Northern Road over the main ferry (marvel at the great engineering feat!)
  • A return trip across Australia's oldest ferry crossing (try it as a pedestrian)
  • See historic St Mary Magdalene Anglican Church (next to the Police Station)
  • A visit to Wisemans Ferry Inn (formerly “Cobham Hall” - Solomon Wisemans home)

  • An easy round trip of about an hour to historic St Albans village (including the 2 vehicular ferries over the Hawkesbury)

  • Wander around the local cemetery about 3 klms down Singleton Rd (where you can find Solomon Wiseman's mark and some VERY OLD headstones!)

  • Enjoy a relaxing BBQ/picnic at the riverside park near “Polly’s” (the BEST hot chips around!)

  • Peruse "The Ferry Artists" gallery in the main street (beautiful local crafts, jewellery, glassware, pottery, paintings, gifts to buy)
